My Brian Rourke bike

2016-01-03rourke-right

I love this bike, which I rebuilt and ride regularly. I bought it off eBay in June of 2011, stripped it down and took it to Brian Rourke Cycles to have it repainted. It came with near complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record gear, but a previous owner replaced the rear derailleur with a Shimano EX500. I’ve returned a Nuovo Record derailleur. The bike also came with a Maillard 13 – 21 cassette, and that was simply too hard for my old legs. At l’eroica in Gaiole, I bought a cassette with 24 teeth and have done much less walking up hills since.
